With this modern ‘stained glass’ artwork Studio Ruwedata creates an interesting piece, that displays a playful and refreshing take on everyday life. Thijs’ aims to offer the spectators a funny, witty and light-hearted approach to the heavier subjects of life and death. ‘Holy Shit’ has easy readable associations to old religious artworks, but gives new perspectives.
Inspired by traditional stained glass-windows, Thijs has researched working with plexiglass and wood to make a modern version of stained glass-windows. All parts are laser cut and put together manually in a tailormade frame by Thijs himself.
